Ben brings many years of experience in marketing, project management and business development to lead our team. Ben utilizes this experience to help lead our team in developing, measuring and executing project and marketing objectives which facilitate ongoing companywide strategy and success. It’s his competitive drive to build and sustain innovation that gives Lorman our competitive advantage.
When outside of work, Ben spends time with his family, in the woods or on the golf course. The same competitive drive translates into his everyday life, whether it’s mastering an often frustrating sport or teaching his kids the finer points of hockey.
IT & Software Development Director
Technology is critical to our success and our customers’ success. Our talented IT & software development teams strive to provide our customers with highly effective software & websites that help our customers connect with the training they need.
As IT Director, James’ main goal is to build up those around him as well as utilize over 18 years of IT and web development experience. Since 2002, he has worked to bring creative ideas, strategic direction, and a hunger for constant improvement to both company and technology initiatives at Lorman with a focus on the needs of our customers.
Outside of work, James immerses himself in interests that involve strategy, creativity, and learning. He loves to take his family on weekend photography adventures, introduce his five children to a new strategy board game, explore a new book or atlas, or immerse himself in a new piano piece.
Customer Service Manager
Michelle Rubesch, the Godmother of Lorman Education, has nurtured and supported the growth of Lorman Education Services through our infancy years as being one of the very first employees. She was instrumental in taking a new company with just a handful of employees to the strong multi-department company that it is today. For over 28 years she has worked her way through multiple departments while having a healthy sense of what is best for the company as a whole. Currently, as our HR Manager, she works daily with our most valuable resource-its PEOPLE!
While not at work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters and son (youngest of which are twins). She can be seen cheering on her children most weekends whether at a sporting event or other extracurriculars. She truly puts “people” first in her life, both in and out of work!
Planning Department Manager
Michelle’s team is responsible for speaker and topic quality for our live webinars. She is constantly looking for ways to improve our event experience for the attendees and the faculty and works with every department to find creative, innovative solutions to enhance our continuing education programs. She is driven by the belief that a company’s most valuable asset is their people and strives to have our teams work together in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Michelle is a very energetic and passionate person who moonlights as a taxi driver for a very busy family. She is guided by the principle that “anything is possible” and believes that a positive attitude is essential.
Michelle is Lorman’s stain glass window of expertise. Her 14 years of managing several different departments has given her a wide range of knowledge and skills. Her experience and knowledge leads our growing team of sales professionals and lead generation marketing efforts.
An avid fan of all Chicago teams, Michelle is often teased for her lack of love for the Packers. Her competitiveness and drive follows her onto the golf course where she spends a lot of time looking for her first hole-in-one.
Kevin has a variety of experiences in direct marketing in areas such as direct mail, database management, and specializes in email marketing. Many people refer to him as “Email Geek” - he considers himself more of an Email Marketing Ninja.
He oversees a team of Marketing Analysts (“Data Scientists”) who manage all facets of direct mail and email marketing campaigns, which include, planning, forecasting, reporting, post analytics, testing, and segmentation for our live webinars, OnDemand webinars, and bookstore products. The marketing team takes pride in building and strengthening our topics and products to meet and exceed the expectations of Lorman customers.
As a Minnesota native, you’ll see Kevin wearing Purple and Gold – Go Vikings! Kevin is also the best source at Lorman for the latest celebrity gossip or reality TV news. His subscription to US Weekly is on a continuous renewal schedule.
