Earn California CLE credits by taking courses that cover relevant topics such as Bankruptcy Law, DOT Regulations, Limited Partnerships and many others. All course materials have been prepared by our capable faculty members who have extensive knowledge in specific aspects of California law.
California CLE Courses
CA MCLE Requirements:
25 hours per reporting period (3years)
Deadline: January 31st
4 hours of Legal Ethics
1 hour of Competence Issues
1 hour in the Recognition and Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession and Society
February 1 - California attorney membership is divided into 3 compliance groups by last name: Group 1 (A-G); Group 2 (H-M); and Group 3 (N-Z). Each group is up for compliance every 3 years.
60 minutes. Divide the total length of the program in minutes by 60 and round to the nearest quarter hour.
Limit on credit hours for self-study:
Attorneys must earn 12.5 credit hours through activities qualified for participatory credit (or one half of their proportional requirement). The remainder (up to 12.5 hours) can be earned through self-study.
Lorman provides certificates of attendance via email to all registered attendees for courses completed. If you request credit, you will receive the credit/CEU certificate. Otherwise a general certificate will be provided. Live webinar certificates are emailed generally within 2-3 weeks. Ondemand certificates should arrive within 1 business day upon submitting the signed CA Roster. For CA specific credit requests see "Attendance Reporting" below.
Attorneys are responsible for tracking their CLE credit and reporting compliance to the State Bar of California at the end of the reporting period as needed. Lorman live webinars and ondemand webinars are considered participatory. MP3 and audio courses are also considered participatory but ONLY if the CLE codes are provided (otherwise they are self-study). CA CLE certificates for completed courses are provided to all attendees upon completion as long as you have requested the credit and provided a signed copy of the CA attendance roster.
